Raw materials: the foundation of a considered fragrance
Understand the role of a raw material
A fragrance material contributes more than an individual scent note. It can support freshness, depth, texture or the transition between facets. Selection therefore follows the whole fragrance concept and intended application.
Combine natural and synthetic materials thoughtfully
Natural and synthetic fragrance materials offer different creative possibilities. Their olfactory properties, quality and suitability for the project guide their use. Origin alone is insufficient to select a complete composition.
Consider quality and application together
Development brings together material information, the formula version and the intended product. Sampling in the application helps assess the fragrance effect and desired properties. Any material change should be documented clearly within the project.
Do you have particular material preferences or requirements? Include them in the fragrance brief from the start.
